Pulsefire Ezreal Q Redesign
Futuristic! Scifi! Much different than anything i’ve done before. So why not work on something different and gain more experience, you can never learn enough! for this redesign, I felt that synthesis was the real way to go. So, Serum here I come (VSTi)! I Create the bulk of the sound by synthesizing a few different patches with pitch shifting to make the expected “pew” sound. But I didn’t want to be generic. I added multiple sci-fi sounding patches with a matching pitch shift to match the sounds, but add texture. I also added a decent wind up and kick to make it really pop and sound like its launching a projectile.
I found that A very nice chorus will go a long way with Sci-fi. I especially like the Serum FX plugins versatility and “spin”. To fit the animation and cartoon-y look, I also added the anime-esk reverb then pitch shifting on a few of the sounds. Finally, I finished the sound by printing the main scifi sounds into one file, added a Absynth (VST) patch. lastly on that channel, I added a reverb with a medium decay and short release to get a robotic sounding feel to it. I also moved the sound slightly backwards to avoid phase issues.
Thank you so much for reading and spending some time with me,
