Implementation Project 1

This is my first dive into implementation with Wwise and Unity. This video will showcase a number of things:

  • Positioning, Attenuation, Profiling
  • Random Containers and switches
  • Position types
  • Audio Busses and mixing
  • Reverb Zones

Positioning, attenuation and profiling is shown with the boxes. Position types is also shown with the Boxes, as they are all set to the multi-positioning mode

Random containers and switches is all shown with the footsteps and landings as well as the switching between the little snow patch and the normal footsteps using a collision box.

Reverb Zones are covered by the small indoor area. There are two different reverbs in each of the rooms, connecting them is a portal for a easier transition from one to the other.

Finally, it is all routed to a mixing buss, much like in a DAW and it is slightly mixed to taste to better accentuate the footsteps.

For this project I followed along with the curriculum by Michael G Wagner on Youtube. I didn’t include everything he taught in this project, for ease of listening so sounds don’t overlap.
